We are a few month too early for this
list, so let's just call it Top 10 Movies of 2011 so far (Hollywood
movies, English movies). These are the biggest and best movies of 2011,
as far as we're concerned. Each one of these movies has been listed
according to a popular audience opinion. These movies are listed as per
movie reviews, business reports, awards and audience opinions, however
you can also pass your comments on the list.
1- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2
The
Deathly Hallows Part 2 picks straight after where the first part left.
Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe), Ron (Rupert Grint) and Hermione (Emma
Watson) are on the hunt to destroy Voldermort’s remaining Horcruxes.
That’s the only way they can destroy the one, whose name nobody shall
say.
2- A Separation
The concept of
judgment is the focal point of this cult movie by Asghar Farhady.
Scenes from Iranian courtroom (clearly impartial) are depicted as if a
life-like depiction is shown. The audience is put in the Judge’s seat
from the beginning of the plot. The film boasts some flawless acting and
complex script. The detail in the script is so rich that it looks more
like an adaption of a real courtroom case.

3- Midnight in Paris
Tim Allen
and Owen Wilson present “Midnight in Paris.” It showcases beautifully
cinematographic scenes of Paris. The film is quite a straightforward and
profound reflection of the lighter side of life. The film is sure to
put a smile on your face, so go check it out.

This movie is
hands down our pick for the best drama film this year so far. With a
great in-depth analysis into the lives of every single character from
the protagonist to the newspaper editor, this film is a must watch for
any drama fiend. Adapted from a novel the film does a great job in
following the original plot.

5- X-Men: First Class
Get
ready for some fantastic action. Mystique, Xavier and Beast are
impeccably played. There is quite a lot of focus on plot construction
but the action scenes are still satisfyingly awesome.

6- The Tree of Life
This movie
has no definable message or theme, the story does not unfold, you will
be left scratching your head at the end of it. The film flows around a
really haunting vision of childhood, so powerful and yet so fragile are
the things that we love the most. It is a really sad and quite
insightful depiction of the life of a family. The film does not focus on
commercial novelties, rather it is concentrated on things that separate
us, connect us and bewilder us, time and time again.

7- Rise of the Planet of the Apes
The
adverse attitude of mankind towards other species is shed light on
through this movie. The future is dismal with revolutionary ideologies
are taking the strong hold on not just men but even other species.
IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1318514/
8- Crazy, Stupid, Love
The
movie is another addition to the signature style of Steve Carell. The
cast is well-gelled and the movie is sure to provide its fair share of
genuine laughs. For those expecting a current style comedy will sadly be
disappointed.

9- Kung Fu Panda 2
Jack Black
embarks on an ambitious journey while having to face unanswered riddles
from his past. This goofy panda with a strong spirit is on a quest to
find out where he came from. There is some strong emotion associated
with Po: The son of a goose.

10- Source Code
With an
original story, “Source code” remains interesting while being
entertaining. Duncan Jones directs his first action film with realistic,
not so over the top action scenes. With some intriguing plot twists,
the movie begs to be taken seriously.
